We did the HypnoBirthing course with Bonnie. It is amazing. Honestly I cannot recommend it enough. Without too many boring details I was absolutely petrified of childbirth I got my doctor to refer me a private hospital, was asking for c sections from my 1st scan, wanted all the drugs in the world. Did the HypnoBirthing course, BIG day came along my waters broke during the night I phoned the hospital told them what had happened stayed at home a few hours eating toast and watching tv! Went into hospital and was already 6cm dilated. The midwives couldn't believe it! Baby Rudy was born with an absolute drug free labour. Honestly I would definitely recommend it to everybody.

Hello Bonnie, Siobhan had a wee boy last week, we called him Jamie, he was 6lb 9oz and is doing really well. Siobhan ended up having a planned C section as he was still breech and she decided not to have the turning procedure as she felt it would distress the baby. All went very smoothly and he's been feeding well and sleeping well at nights too. Despite the fact we ended up not having the type of birth we'd initially planned, we still feel that the HypnoBirting course was worthwhile and really enjoyed it as an activity in itself as we felt it brought us closer together during pregnancy and of course if we have another child will use it then.

Just to let you know baby Grace arrived safely on 22nd of December. We were only in hospital 30 mins before she was born. It was amazing and we can't thank you enough. It was a much much better experience than the two previous births. I feel absolutely on top of the world! If only we had known of HypnoBirthing then!
Thanks once again Bonnie

I had been doing HypnoBirthing with Bonnie for about three months. This was my first baby so I was a bit apprehensive about the thought of giving birth as you hear everyone's horror stories!
On 29th Feb, 10 days 'overdue' I started having surges at 2am so I went into the shower to see if that would help me relax, as well as doing my breathing techniques to my CD. At 6am we went into hospital and when examined I was found to be 4cm dilated. The midwife went over my birth preferences with me after noticing I had opted for a water birth using HypnoBirthing. She was very supportive and gave me a lot of positivity. I had some discomfort in my lower back to start with but this soon turned into a feeling of only pressure.
I got into the birthing pool at 10am. I continued my breathing. I didn't once think about having any pain relief as I didn't feel I needed it. I didn't end up using the CD as it was in the bag and I was in 'the zone', and forgot to ask Graeme to get it out. Throughout my whole labour I was thinking about my sessions with Bonnie, telling myself 'you can do this' 'your body was made to do this'.
The actual birth was very calm. There was no complications or interventions from the midwives. Macy was born 11 hours later at 1255pm, when she arrived she was also very calm , cuddled into me and just looked around the room then focused on myself and Graeme. She was very peaceful and I believe this was due my calm relaxed state.
Macy and I were discharged 6 hours later to be in the comfort of our own home.
I will definitely have another HypnoBirth if/when we decide to have more children. It is a brilliant experience and can give you the calm birth you want.
I would also like to add that I think HypnoBirthing helped my husband to understand the birthing process and how he could assist me during this time, to keep positive throughout the labour and to keep me focussed.
I would like to say a big thank you to Bonnie Lindsay our HypnoBirthing Practitioner. She was very informative and great to work with. She gave me confidence and reassurance at times that I had any doubts/fears.
Happy HypnoBirthing!!

Our new baby boy, Lucas, arrived at 12.47pm on 16th December after an eight hour labour weighing 7lb 8oz. The birth was everything we had hoped for. As we had planned, it was a water birth at the midwife unit. The midwife was completely supportive of us having a natural birth. The birth was so straightforward we were able to leave the unit just 4 hours later. Lucas was alert, content and latched on within an hour. I couldn't believe how well I felt leaving the unit, I kept telling people I felt like I'd had a nice day out! My sister texted me asking what ward we were in so she could come visit, I loved being able to tell her we were home already!
I truly believe we achieved the birth we wanted because of doing the course with you. We know now from first hand experience that childbirth is completely natural and does not need to be dramatic and painful. As you know, the birth of our eldest son, Austin, was traumatic with me having my waters broken, then needing an epidural and a forceps delivery. This birth was completely different and I really believe it is because of hypnobirthing.
Thank you so much for teaching us hypnobirthing and for working the sessions around our work commitments. We both enjoyed doing the course with you and we were delighted with the result!

Hi Bonnie,Just to let you know that I had a wee boy, Luke, last Friday the 30th of April. He weighed 7lbs 13.5 ozs and we're all doing really well. He was nine days late and I used the relaxation CD everyday to keep me in the zone. When I went into labour I was really calm and remained so throughout. The hypnobirthing techniques were wonderful and I loved using the birthing pool. . A couple of weeks before Luke was born, Colin and I placed a bet on the Grand National horse "Don't Push It" which we chose due to completing the hypnobirthing course - it came in first!
Thanks again for all your help.
